Miller-Motte Student Services
At Miller-Motte we’re committed to supporting our students and ensuring they get the most out of our career training programs. Whether they have just graduated high school or have been in the workforce for years, we provide our students with resources and personalized services to help them achieve their career goals.
Planning for Your Future
Do you have a career plan? Every student should. Having clearly defined career goals can help you make the most of college. You can network, join clubs and find volunteering opportunities that can help make your resume more appealing to potential employers.
As soon as you enroll in a career training program, you should ask yourself:
- Which career path do I want to pursue after graduation?
- What is my ideal work environment?
- How can I make my job application attractive to hiring managers?
These questions can be difficult to answer, so don’t worry if you’re not sure where to begin. Our Admissions Representatives will help you set goals and show you which campus resources and services can help you achieve them.
If you haven’t already, set up a time to meet and discuss your career plan with one of our Admissions Representatives, who can help you determine which career path fits your individual strengths and interests. They will also help you formulate a plan to help you reach your short-term and long-term goals.
Career Preparation Seminars
Before you graduate, it is important that you attend Miller-Motte’s career development and management seminars. These seminars will teach you the general life skills needed to be successful in your career.
- Goal setting
- Time management
- Interview strategies
- Résumé writing and more
Our seminars aren’t just lectures. They’ll provide you the opportunity to build your career portfolio, write a compelling résumé and practice your interview skills. Many of our programs include these seminars as part of your coursework.
